Today’s the first day where I feel like like I’m getting back into the swing of things after a whirlwind week at BlogFest with SweatPink down in Southern California. (Los Angeles, I’ll give it to you, you have a certain charm and laid-back atmosphere that’s pretty contagious.)
I feel so lucky to have been able to experience the wonders of BlogFest and the IDEA World fitness convention with all of the #SweatPink ambassadors who were able to attend. It was so much fun to be able to meet so many bloggers whose posts I’ve been following for a while now.
Today, to kick-start my recap of BlogFest and get the writing juices flowing, I just want to share a few of my top takeaways from BlogFest, which if you didn’t attend this year, I highly recommend, especially for all the bloggers, new and experienced, out there.
Because BlogFest brings such a great range of fitness, health & wellness bloggers together, I was able to so many new connections. Everyone was so nice and the networking games (interactive bingo was so much fun!) made it really easy for us to introduce ourselves to each other. I went home with TONS of business cards and can’t wait to take a look at everyone’s blogs and read their individual perspectives. 🙂
As a newbie blogger, I really appreciated the breakdown of tips & tricks on every aspect of blogging covered by the presenters, each experienced in the topic they covered. From growing your readership to taking full advantage of social media accounts, there was something new for everyone to learn.
Being able to workout with Gabby Reece, Nikki Warren & Beto Perez made BlogFest an even more incredible experience — I mean, when else would we have the opportunity to gain such special access to their workouts and instruction?! Needless to say, I was pretty sore (let’s be real, everything hurt for a couple days), but it was definitely worth it. But trying out the HIGHX, Kaia Fit, and Zumba classes — all for the first time for me! — turned out being some of the best highlights of BlogFest.
I’ll be back with more insight into BlogFest 2015 in the next few days. 🙂
‘Till then, happy reading & writing everyone!
